Bones on Beds, was started in the Kentish coastal town of Herne Bay in 2000 by Richard Bones, who has over 25 years’ experience in the bed sector.

Before setting up his own business he worked for both local and nation-wide bed companies, enabling him to gather an in-depth knowledge of the industry, make solid relationships with suppliers and understand customer needs when choosing a bed.

Richard and his team give a personalised professional service and friendly advice enabling the customer to be able to select from over 150 different mattresses and beds of all sizes, styles and prices, amounting to over 400 possible combinations.

After 5 years at a shop in the High Street, the centre has recently moved to larger premises on the outskirts of the town, which means the customer has one of the best choices of mattresses and beds in East Kent, with easy access all on one level (no stairs) and a large free parking area.

The philosophy of Bones on Beds is to be able to cater for everyone’s needs and price range, and to have stock of all models in store at all times so that once a customer has chosen a bed, it has been delivered and fitted in just a few days.

Richard has orthopaedic training within the bedding industry and has extensive experience in orthopaedic beds, having himself suffered a series of back operations. He can fully understand the consequences of back pain and is therefore well-placed to point customers in the right direction when it comes to choosing a suitable new bed or mattress.

The personalised service of Richard and his team will make sure that a purchase at Bones on Beds will be the right one.

Bones on Beds also has a policy of assembling all beds at the time of delivery if required, ensuring that the customer has his new bed ready for the prefect’s night sleep, avoiding the worry of deciphering the assembly instructions only to find essential pieces missing. Bones on Beds deals with it there and then.

Bones on Beds offers a service of taking away old mattresses and beds from its customers’ houses, and disposing of them in an ecological way.
